The refrigerant probes come with plugs to protect their ports when they aren’t connected, and they can articulate, making them easy to use in awkward places. Those probes can also lock into 90-degree and 180-degree positions and fit into the duct board very easily.
The UEI Hub app is also easy to use. The probes can be used together to find your delta T, and you can easily differentiate the probes by warming one of them up with your hand and watching the temperature rise on the app. Supply and return values are easy to see on the app, and you can also see expanded data by pressing the plus button. The app also tells you when your tool batteries are low, so you don’t have to worry about the tools suddenly dying on you. You can simply arrange your tools in the app by dragging and dropping the tools with their readings to the desired slots. The signal is also good, as the app picks up the probes between walls and from a reasonable distance.
The refrigerant probes are easy to use and convenient because they don’t require you to use an extra port; they each have a port that refrigerant can flow through.
UEI line temperature clamps have thermal isolation, meaning they don’t allow the air temperature to influence the readings. They have good contact and have tapered ends to help them get into tight spots. The kit also comes with stickers to help you differentiate the clamps if you wish.
