Micron Gauge on the Pump w/ NAVAC

The NAVAC NRP8DI is a digital pump that is also very quiet and of good quality. We’ve attached AccuToolsTruBlu hoses to the pump (which are wide and pull a good vacuum) as well as a NAVAC micron gauge. The onboard micron gauge can be used for a decay test, and it has a shutoff solenoid. to prevent loss of vacuum or vacuum pump oil from going into the system.
However, this video shows how the other attached micron gauge can also tell you your pressure drop across the micron gauge rig. To start the vacuum pump, you hit the power button and hold it in again. There is a relatively small change in the vacuum across the hoses. When using a smaller vacuum hose, the micron gauges show a greater vacuum differential across the hose; the differential will be EVEN HIGHER when you pull a vacuum through 1/4″ hoses, manifolds, or with Schrader cores in place.
