HVAC Service Technician
Harvey W. Hottel Inc., is a 3rd generation company that was founded in 1945. Hottel is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with a variety of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and other related equipment. Experience with Distech Controls is a plus. The candidate should possess strong technical skills, a valid journeyman license (master license preferred), and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and perform routine maintenance in HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and other heating and cooling equipment to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with a focus on quick and effective resolution.
- Utilize knowledge of Distech controls for system programming, integration, and optimization if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate invoice summaries of work performed, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals if applicable.
- Interact with customers to explain repair or maintenance procedures and offer recommendations for improving system performance.

Qualifications:
- Valid journeyman license for HVAC or 5+ years of hands-on experience
- Master or Journeyman HVAC license (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and availability to respond promptly to emergency service calls.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
