CoilShot Condenser Cleaning Tool

In this tool demo, Sal with ProductsByPros and Bryan show SpeedClean's CoilShot condenser cleaning tool in action.

You can insert a cleaning tablet into the CoilShot tool and then attach the CoilShot to a hose. The hose mixes with the cleaning tablet, and you can adjust the amount of cleaning solution that gets mixed in with the water by turning a dial on the side. Once you’ve finished applying the cleaner to the condenser, you can wash it away with plain water.

When using the CoilShot, you don’t have to carry around bulky liquid cleaners or pump sprayers. However, you must hook the CoilShot up to a hose with good water pressure. The tablet that comes with the CoilShot is a mild cleaning solution that shouldn’t irritate homeowners.

As always, shut the disconnect off and confirm that power is off before taking apart the condenser to clean it. At Kalos, our technicians pull the top off the condenser to get the most thorough possible cleaning procedure. (We also clean the leaves out of the bottom with a vacuum.)

The actual coil cleaning procedure starts off with a pre-rinse with plain water. Then, you mix in the cleaner and build foam on the unit from bottom to top (starting on the inside out). When working from the outside, make sure your CoilShot stream is at a downward angle

Dwell time is about 5 minutes. Then, we rinse the coil off. The CoilShot has a rinse setting that allows water to bypass the cleaner, so you just get normal water out of the nozzle.
