The NEW Cordless Power Flaring Tool

We show off the new NAVAC cordless flaring tool that is now available at trutechtools.com.

The cordless flaring tool is battery-powered, making it easy to use and carry around. It also has forward and reverse modes; before using it, you need to run it in reverse mode until it is back seated.

The kit comes with 3/4″, 5/8″, 1/2″, 3/8″, and 5/16″ heads, a tubing cutter, an extra battery, a charger, a reamer, and the initial battery included within the tool.

Before flaring the copper, be sure to ream it without overdoing it; make sure the burr and copper shavings don’t go into the pipe. The heads also have stoppers to prevent the tube from going too far into the flaring tool and having incorrect depth.

Add the head to the flaring tool, tighten it down, and hit the forward button. Then, you hit the reverse button to back the copper out. You will have a flared piece of copper. We find that the flare quality is usually good and will partially depend on how well you ream the copper beforehand.
