Fieldpiece Joblink Firmware Update Demo

Start by turning your Fieldpiece instrument on. Then, go to your tool manager; if an update is available, the app will say so in red. Select that “update available” button, and then you will select the tool you want to update. At the bottom, you can select “cancel” to cancel the update or “continue” to go through with the update.

After you “continue,” you can pull a battery out of the instrument and hold down the button in the battery compartment for AT LEAST 40 seconds. Hold down the power button and reinsert the battery as you hold the button down. Keep the button held down for another 5 seconds, and the power button should turn blue. On the app screen, press the “update” button. You will know that the firmware process has started when the power button blinks blue.

The update takes a few minutes, so it’s a good idea to inspect your tool as the update completes. The app will let you know when the update finishes, and you can turn the tool back on. When you go to the “Tool Manager” on the app, it will no longer say that an update is available.
