When compressed nitrogen is relatively scarce, technicians need to rely on shop vacs for their drain cleaning jobs. However, many shop vacs have a time-consuming procedure for switching between dry and wet vacuum settings; if this procedure isn’t followed, the filter could break apart and cause trouble. Shop vacs also need to be emptied during use, which can be problematic in attics or other enclosed areas without easy access to the outdoors.
Easy Solution Technologies Inc.’s new shop vac solution pulls vacuums around the 90″wc range and comes with a collapsible bucket that connects to the vacuum, allowing it to stay dry during use. The connectable vacuum hose fitting seals to the back side and allows the drain to become its own vacuum system, meaning that you only have to bring the attachable fitting to the unit. The bucket is also easy to sanitize. The vacuum system also comes with an adapter that allows compressed nitrogen or CO2 to be used during the drain cleaning procedure.
