Common Refrigeration TXV Issue
September 4, 2019
Leslie Orm shows us how to deal with a common refrigeration TXV issue in this short video.
If you get a service call where a specific grocery case isn’t making the temperature in a traditionally wet area (such as the produce section), you might want to check the TXV screen and the powerhead. If the screen has been clogged, clean it.
If the screen is not the issue, then check the powerhead. TXV powerheads have a protective coating, but it wears away over time. If the coating has worn away or become compromised, the TXV powerhead can rust out and gradually lose its charge. Powerheads are replaceable and inexpensive.
