Air Oasis BiPolar 2400 Air Purifier

During this HVAC School unboxing, we show you how and where to install your Air Oasis BiPolar 2400 Air Purifier. Air Oasis makes its ozone-free IAQ products (like the BiPolar 2400) in America and tries to source its materials from the United States whenever possible.

The BiPolar 2400 is very small but magnetic enough to stick to the blower housing effectively. You will generally mount this device next to the blower and as close to the supply ductwork as possible. The goal is to get the BiPolar 2400’s ions to bond with contaminants as the air goes out to the space for maximum safety and comfort.

The BiPolar 2400 comes with four wires: black, red, and two brown wires. Brown wires are actually contacts that can be capped off or used with indicator lights; the other two are 24v wires. The BiPolar 2400 is independently fused as well, which is useful for code compliance. At the 24v rating, the wires draw 400 milliamps, which is something to consider when wiring in the BiPolar 2400. You may need to install a secondary transformer if your primary transformer might not be able to handle the amp draw. Remember to use grommets when passing the wires through holes in metal surfaces so that they don’t chafe and short out.
